Patrick Treacy, Dr.

"[I am] honored to be given a place in Michael Jackson's heart. Michael’s legacy as an artist often overshadows the tremendous good he did in the world and how he unselfishly supported many causes both in HIV and Africa, often at financial cost to himself. Like Jesus before him, he saw the goodness in children and realized that our moral values have to be nurtured in the generation of people who are coming up behind us. He treated everybody equally both in race, color and creed. It was especially annoying for me as a doctor to be treating him for a medical condition, which the media used against him. They might as well have said that Franklin Delano Roosevelt was lazy because he spent most of his adult life in a wheelchair."

Dr. Patrick Treacy is Medical Director of Ailesbury Clinics Ltd and Ailesbury Hair Clinics Ltd. He is Chairman of the Irish Association of Cosmetic Doctors and is Irish Regional Representative of the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, the Royal Society of Arts and European Medical Advisor to Network Lipolysis and the UK's largest cosmetic website Consulting Rooms. He practices cosmetic medicine in his clinics in Dublin, Cork, London and the Middle East. He was amongst the first doctors worldwide to use the permanent facial endoprosthesis BioAlcamid for HIV Lipodystrophy patients.

Dr. Treacy won "Professional Journalist of the Year" in 2003 for his award winning column "The Cutting Edge," published weekly in the Irish Medical Times. Dr. Treacy is a cosmetic
columnist with Ireland's Rejuvenate Cosmetic Surgery magazine, Health & Living magazine as well as the UK Aesthetic Medicine and MediSpa Destinations magazines. Dr. Treacy is regularly invited to speak about Cosmetic Medicine on Irish breakfast television (TV3), RTE TV and Discovery Health, and has been an expert panelist with the BBC World Services on many occasions.
